Attention Attention!

We are less than 2 weeks away from the OLDEST Oktoberfest in San Luis Obispo County. We are honored to announce the events on the 44th Oktoberfest and Car Show by the Bay.

  • The 16th annual Car Show by the Bay is underway. Show off your wheels and enjoy the perfect combination of horsepower and hops. Registration starts at 7am and the show will begin at 9am.
  • Come see runners kick Oktoberfest off with the 9 AM Fun Run! Registration starts at 7:00 AM. Starts at the South end of 2nd Street
  • We Got Pancakes! – Have Breakfast by the Bay with the Bay Osos Kiwanis Special Oktoberfest Pancakes!
  • 2nd Street Music South – Bay Love will entertain in front of the Baywood Inn from 9:00 to 11:00
  • Stroll on up to the Car Show featuring beautiful classic cars from the 40’s on up! Check out the local artists and vendors along the way!
  • On the Visit Los Osos Main Stage from 11:00 to Noon  see the Community Variety Hour! Morro Bay High Cheerleaders will demonstrate their talents and we’ll also have interviews with people making good things happen in Los Osos/ Baywood Park
  • Noon to 5:30 This year’s music features a finalist from the Voice, members of the Steve Miller Band, and War, and absolutely one of the finest female vocalists on the Central Coast! Don’t miss free great music you will have a great time with.
  • At Noon to 1:30 Carbon City Lights does more than start the afternoon, they launch it with music that you won’t want to sit to. Excellent, talented musicians.
  • 1:30 to 2:00 –  Take part in the Costume Contest with your family, enter your pet, or go solo and be who you want to be, and win a prize at the same time! In it or not, cheer for your favorite Kid, Pet, and Adult costume and help pick the winner! This is truly something to be part of whether you’re in the contest, or enjoying and voting with your cheers!
  • At 2:00 – 3:30 MiniNova featuring Kenny Lee Lewis from the Steve Miller Band, and Scott Martin, from War. This is a terrific band, all are esteemed musicians. They played the hits with the actual bands – they live locally, they are amazing musicians! Expect the hits with other great tunes.
  • 4:00 to 5:30 – Santa Cruz Family Band may be our town’s top band to dance to. Rachel Santa Cruz rocks. The entire band does. They are super fun, that’s why they are back for Oktoberfest #44!
  • The Visit Los Osos Main Stage is in the Biergarten where you have choice of 10 of the top Central Cost breweries. Breweries serve their best at Oktoberfest!
  • New this year our Limited Edition Oktoberfest #44 stainless steel Beer Cups! Help us keep disposable cups out of re-cycling, and re-use the commemorative cup during Oktoberfest, and in your home! They look cool and they keep your beer colder longer, plus they are the best way to have your beer be green without changing the color!
  • Food vendors are so good that many sold out last year before Oktoberfest was over! There’s variety, but the one thing they have in common is that they all taste great!
  • KIDS’ ZONE will have plenty of fun and games for all young ages. 2nd Street is filled with the Car Show, food vendors, informative exhibits, and interesting non-profits to assure your enjoyment outside of the Biergarten.
Oktoberfest is for our community. The purpose is to raise funds for kids programs and charitable institutions through our community enjoying the essence of who we are. We love music, art, and being part of where we live. Enjoy Oktoberfest #44!
Carbon City Lights

Carbon City Lights is an alternative rock band based in San Luis Obispo. Their sound blends folk, pop, and rock. Frontman, Michael Venia, was a contestant on Season 21 of NBC’s hit show, the Voice. Listeners appreciate the authenticity that comes from Venia’s lyrics and shines through in his powerful vocals. The band’s live performances are fun and energetic, and feature extended jams with tight rhythm and dueling guitars. Carbon City Lights started as a solo project by singer-songwriter, Michael Venia, in 2010 in Toronto, and morphed into a full band in 2018. Their music rings with influences of Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, and Coldplay.

Mini Nova

Mininova is a 4-piece latin/jazz/funk explosion of rhythm and melody that is danceable and sophisticated. Led by Scott Martin on sax from the band War and Kenny Lee Lewis on guitar from The Steve Miller Band, the band features both original and cover music from iconic latin and jazz artists, and also latin rock and R&B covers from bands like Santana, War, Steve Miller Band, Ray Charles, and blues standards. Jim Stromberg delivers a percussion performance that sounds like three people playing at once and bassist David Keif provides the foundation on bass. You won’t be able to sit still!
