YOGA FOR PERFORMERS WORKSHOP WITH MARISSA BLOOM

Taught by local performer and educator, Marissa Bloom, this workshop will focus on gentle yoga postures and breathing techniques to create greater strength and ease as a performer and singer: freeing the body from bad tension while simultaneously creating the structural foundation necessary to find your true vocal color. A large part of class will address stage fright, nerves, and adrenaline, providing specific breathing and postural practices which can help combat their effects on the voice and body. This workshop is for all levels of flexibility. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Please bring a mat or a firm woven blanket and loose clothing. Feel free to bring a notepad in case any of the practices resonate with you.
